Rachel Bellis has devoted her 30 year legal career to criminal defense, appellate advocacy, and extensive legal research and writing in support of litigation. She has represented clients and collaborated with counsel on criminal, civil and administrative cases originating from nearly every district of Colorado.

After clerking for Judge Dale P. Tursi, in the Colorado Court of Appeals, Rachel joined the state public defender appellate office in 1983, representing and counseling indigent men and women who were challenging felony convictions and sentences.

In 1989, Rachel was recruited by Haddon, Morgan and Foreman to join the firm’s appellate practice and support the firm’s trial practice.

Rachel regularly provides pro bono assistance in cooperation with the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
